D-Generation X DVD review
what can i say about this dvd just wow .it shows the real history of the dx with some great classic clips and promo its a must buy dvd......
I bought this a good while ago, didn't really care about the doc or music video, truly that is all it feels like. The reason I bought this was for the matches and they were worth it, big admirer of shawn michaels work so of course I was happy with that aspect.

A must buy if your a D Generation X fan, even if you are a new fan, shows how they started out and just classic DX. Its quite a funny watch aswell and kept me entertained. Has the classic DX tank invasion which is a laugh. Must buy for a wrestling fan young and old.
This is a great title that was previously on VHS. It covers DX's original formation with HBK and HHH back in 1997. Show there rise in the WWE and how The name Degeneration X was born. Very entertaining watch as always with DX. Its a great little combo with the New and Improved DX DVD. I love this DVD, shows HBK and Triple H in their hey day. Brilliant!

This D-Generation X-DVD is a re-release of a VHS from 1998. The "documentation part" is very entertaining and shows some of the best moments of DX in the years 1997 and 98. The narration is done by Triple H, X-Pac, Chyna and the New Age Outlaws. Actually there is no information about background stories in the documentation.
In addition to the original VHS stuff some Matches are in the extra section. The first two matches show the story how DX was formed and are ok. There are two matches, the casket match from Royal Rumble 1998 and the Eight Men Tag Match without DQ, that are really recommendable. The Match between Shawn Micheals and Triple H is actually not really a match but very entertaining.
For some reason the Matches vs. the Harts aren?t that good. Could be because of the short match time.
All in all i recommend this DVD to every Fan of the original DX.
This Dvd is ok it's got some good DX highlights on it but I think it could of had some better matches in the extras menu.

Not the best dvd i was hopeing for something gd some of the matches are gd ie mankind v hbk. The 8 man tag was a very gd match long stop but if u adding to your wwe dvds like i doing u might want to get just for the ex i would give this 7/10
I used to own this as a VHS, 'back in the day', so was quite surprised to see that the VHS and DVD versions are quite different; some bits on this DVD were cut out and somewith added censorship that wasn't present in the original. Conversely, this set adds in extras that weren't present on the VHS release, making this a good buy even if you own the 'original.'
Well, the DVD is a 'documentary' about the life of DX. It's well-trodden ground but still manages to be full of nostalgic nods to the classic '98-'99 period. It's bridged by a HHH / Chyna / Michael Cole presentation that tries to be amusing (and almost is, but not quite - still heads above others though!). The actual 'docu' itself is pretty good; all the 'best' DX bits are present (N.O.D. skit; Sgt. Slaughter feud, Mike Tyson, etc). The presentation is flawless and even now the individual stories raise a few eyebrows and chuckles.
What about the extras? Well the matches included are okay, maybe a bit average... except the classic 'Taker / HBK Casket Match, which is so good I'm surprised it didn't make the 'Taker 'best of' set. HBK and 'Taker are at their best here and although it's a match famous for giving HBK his career threatening back injury, the match itself is classic and is undoubtedly the best of the extras bunch.
Maybe this review hasn't sounded overtly flattering, but I have to say that there is a reason I keep watching this DVD and why it remains fresher than ever. The 'documentary' cleverly relies on all of DX's 'best bits' and skips over the unfunny stuff. It retains a polish to it not found in all WWE product. Although the match selection in the extras is average, most of the matches are only available here and the one match that isn't, is definitely an utter corker. Can I recommend? Oh, yes, definitely. Buy away and you won't be disappointed!

Eine ganz gute DVD die zwar sehr unterhaltsam ist, aber bei der die Matches gr??ten Teils entt?uschen. Dennoch sollte jeder DX Fan einmal die Statements der alten DX gesehen haben. Sehr funny!!
This dvd is fairly poor to be honest. If you like DX your best off buying the latest DX new generation set. It's well put together, funny and doesn't have a women in it that looks like a bloke lol. I'd only recommend this dvd for the hardcore DX fans, I don't think the average fan would get much out of this!.

I enjoyed this DVD but was disappointed that the ending of the casket match between undertaker and shawn micheals had been cut off. Great for fans of DX, especially if you liked the original line up.
Had previously owned this on VHS and was disappointed to see that some content had been censored or removed.
The included matches add an extra dimension.
