As someone who didnt get to see Much of ECW This was a gr8 DVD Loved every match standout for me was TAZ VS Sabu This is a really good Intro Set to ECW For New Fans!

This dvd is a must have, for every pure maniacs of hardcore, and for every one who want to discover this side of professional wrestling too .
The majority of matches from the 90's to One Night Stand 2005 are really bloody and insane, I especially think guys like the Sandman, Mick Foley, Sabu, Tommy Dreamer and the Dudley Boyz, those who had innovated extreme wrestling, but the bad point that disappointed me in this dvd set is there is only one match with Terry Funk, and only one with Tazz (but what a match!) .
You want bloodshed ? You want ultra-violence ? OK, just look for the disc one .
But there's not just some massacres in this set, there are a lot of technical and various moves and matches, and even if the disc two is not the same face of ECW, I understand everything have to change with the time, then in my opinion the more recent matches like Big Show vs. Ric Flair, or RVD vs. Hardcore Holly are very funny and entertaining .

At last I approve this is a great dvd set, as you're looking for the old days of ECW extremists or just if you find better (I think more honest) wrestling than what become WWE actually, get this one, you will regret nothing, or some little deceptions but not for sure, it will surely keep you going !

I forget one thing : this dvd set is for adults only, do not buy it for kids or "John Cena" fans .

ECW Extreme Rules:- (2006)
For any hardcore ECW fan like I am (hense my username), you'll be collecting these ECW DVD's like me (i have all WWE releases and 2 Original ECW PPV's as of date.) to be honest the first disc is really good but the second lacks hardcore and interest. so i'll start now...

It starts with Tazz and Joey Styles talking about ECW; how it started, what it was like etc. then we start with the matches.

ECW CHAMPIONSHIP:
Cactus Jack vs. Sandman- Hardcore Heaven 1995:
good match a bit slow at times and can be tiring. near the end alot of barbed-wire put into play. alot of blood too. enjoyable.
9/10 - 13:05 minutes

ECW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS:
STEEL CAGE WEAPONS MATCH:
The Gangsta's vs. The Eliminator's- Natural Born Killaz' 1996:
real hardcore match. saturn takes a massive dive off the cage onto new jack to concrete. they go all around the arena. tons of blood. keyboards, trash cans, tables and guitars are put in play. sore fall at the end through a table!
10/10 - 20:02 minutes

SCAFFOLD MATCH:
Tommy Dreamer vs. Brian Lee- High Incident 1996:
nice ending. off the scaffold through 5 or 6 tables. historic moment in ECW. great match.
9/10 - 9:06 minutes

STAIRWAY TO HELL MATCH:
Sandman vs. Sabu- House Party 1998:
for those of you who are not familiar with this match stipulation it's basically a ladder match with barbed-wire hung at the top. 9 tables used and the ladder hits a fan (lawsuit!) highlight is when sandman falls off the ladder outside through 2 tables.
10/10 - 10:09 minutes

DUDLEYVILLE STREET FIGHT:
The Dudleyz vs. Tommy Dreamer, Sandman & Spike Dudley- Heatwave 1998
takes a while to start off spike does a nice dive off a ladder. that's it. I expected a flaming table but...

ECW & FTW CHAMPIONSHIPS:
Taz vs. Sabu- Living Dangerously 1999
real hardcore and extreme loads of tables. cool dive by sabu through a table.
9/10 - 18:28 minutes

ECW CHAMPIONSHIP:
Mike Awesome vs. Masato Tanaka- ECW on TNN 31/12/99
High flying dives and about 4 tables broken. mike does a great awesome bomb off the top rope and the ring actually bounces up!

ECW CHAMPIONSHIP:
TLCC MATCH:
Sandman vs. Steve Corino vs. Justin Credible- Guilty as Charged 2001
sandman actually gets drunk. no kidz. he botches alot of moves too. a few tables used. Corino is amazing.

I wont review the rest coz basically there just stupid. in exception to the match with RVD and Sabu teaming up which is very good. the match at ONS '05 is really good. good DVD but disc 1 is really all the good bit.

GREAT DVD YOU SHOULD BUY FOR THE 1ST. DISC!!!!

Very extreme dvd, they did show some very good old classic ecw matches but they could of used some more better ones, yeah the matches that are on disc one are very good but strill could of had better ones. Disc 2 is the top disc it it very extreme and some very good moments, the match of that disc is ric flair vs. the big show has barbed wire, thumb tacks, chairs and bins and a hell load of blood. All the other matches were good, disc ones top match was probably the sandman vs. sabu in a stairway to hell match, there some really good momments in their, oiverall score 81/2/10

Some great matches in this set a must for any ecw fan the matches at the one night stand events are fantastic i personally like the edge and mick foley match legends were made here!

Great dvd for those who like extreme!
