Ric Flair is an icon in wrestling industry, and arguably the best to ever step in a wrestling ring,at least for some people! To me he wasn?t the best, that honour belongs to Shawn Michaels in my opinion! However this set it?s pretty decent but not the best collection, because misses several important matches in Flair?s career, but still a must have for Ric Flair and wrestling fans in general!
I allready had the "Ultimate Ric Flair Collection" which was great as far as the matches were concerned but lacked of a real documentation. "The Defintive Collection" Makes that up telling the history of the geratest wrestler of all times from the very beginning to his best years in the mid-80s to early 90s when his matches were instant classics, he was dominating NWA along with the Horsemen and he made some of the most promising new talents superstars.
Flair gives a very honest view of his struggles behind the scenes during the transformation from NWA Crocket Promotion to Turner's WCW and the way he was treated in the 90s when he basicaly had to do the job for every one. Flair is verey honest, talking about the mistakes he made in his past but also about treatmants that were totally uncalled for.
Only lack in this documentation is the time in WWF in the early 90s. Sure, the Royal Rumble in 1992 was great but where is his feud with Macho Man Randy Savage, Flair spend most of his first run in WWF with? Also nothing about the time, when Flair was a Booker in Crocket Promotion/WCW.
Those who are long time fans of the Nature Boy will not learn too much new, but still having the history of The Man in one documentation ist great and I like to watch it all over again from time to time.
The match collection includes some great matches still but on the other hand, most of the feuds like those with Windham, Terry Funk, Dusty Rhodes, Sting, Steamboat or Harley Race have been covered on the "Ultimate Collection". Again where is Savage? Where is the "Career vs Title" againt Vader? Where the "Loser Leaves WWF" against Mr. Perfect? Why not Magnum TA? The list goes on.
Still, every oldschool fan will have to have this package. But if you allready own the "Ultimate Collection" this will more bee a 3,5 of 5. It had much more potential.
what a great dvd cant stop watching it again and again A************* Great

This is a great DVD. Admittedly I don't have his other DVD's but i don't think there will be any more so if you get any Flair DVD's, get this one!
Very entertaining and it really brings back good memories of Ric Flair in his Four Horseman days, although it would have been nice if they elaborated on EVolution a little more. That was when Flair was in his heel heyday!
The complete RAW farewell is very entertaining, especially when Undertaker came out! Legendary!
All in all 5 out of 5!
A great DVD-Set about the greatest wrestler of all time. Emotional moments and intervies, great old-school-matches and the complete Farewell-Ceremony from RAW. Really a Definitive Collection!
This is the third dvd released by the WWE about the naitch (The ultimate collection,Ric Flair and the four horseman and now the ultimate collection) and as a product the ultimate collection doesn't really add any more information about ric that hasn't been covered before up ultil the formation of evolution. However as a Ric Flair fan i would highly recommend this DVD to any wrestling fan for the matches alone, this DVD showcases the greatest of all time in some classic matches against the likes of Steamboat,Race,Piper,Von Erich and Michaels to name but a few. The DVD also ha some great extras including the unforgetable Raw closing segent after Wrestlemania 24 including footage after Raw ended featuring the Undertaker paying his respects to Ric. This is a great DVD a must buy for everyone .WOOOOOOOO

I thought this DVD was a fantastic production by the WWE, full of emotion and action packed that it is worth seeing and adding to your collection. I loved all the Flair memories and Flair telling it exactly how it was. It would have been nice to have Mr. McMahon been interviewed (or any member of the McMahon Family) but there was enough testimonals to be great and the Night after WrestleMania farwell always chokes me up whenever I see it, just to see the amount of respect that they EVERYONE had for Flair
Thank you so much Silvervision for another fantastic WWE DVD. Wicked!!!
Thought Ric's DVD is great. Loved his old matches with Steamboat and Harley and Dusty. He had the best career ever!
