In my opinion, an amazing story about 4 men that changed made wrestling history.
Before the horsemen there wasnt anything that resembled what you would call a group/faction that caused so much mayhem, yet were loved and hated by so many people.
The combination of a great story told by former members of the horsemen and some great matches make this a must have for any wrestling fan.
Great wrestlers, Great story and it's great that these men are finally being inducted into the Hall of Fame this year
Never so the Four Horseman when they were around but thought that the DVD might be a good watch as was a Ric Flair fan and wasn't disappointed. There is some good stuff about the four hoursemen how they became and how they got there name, there are some good matches on the DVD like the war games which is a good concept using 2 rings side by side, If your a Ric flair fan or even if your not it's a good DVD to watch i didn't know what I was expecting as hadn't seen the Four Horseman before but quite enjoyed the DVD. I can defo recommend this DVD you'll see the days of WCW, ECW etc. So if you get the chance to watch it you should, they were one of the first groups/stables around and paved the way for all the groups/stables after them like Evolution, Legacy, DX.
This DVD set is pure Wrestling history. It is interesting to watch the evolution of the 4 Horsemen, and how a stable became a Draft horse in the Wrestling business.
After watching the Dvd I want more WCW stuff.
Please, please, release wcw ppvs on tagged classics

Also eine Empfehlung. ****3/4

Great Dvd about one of the greatest factions in wrestling history. Shame there wasn't more matches on this dvd but a great documentary on the first DVD.
This package includes the in my opinion best WWE documentation so far. It covers the history of the first real und therefore most influental stable in wrestling ever from the very beginning in the early 80s with arn becoming an Anderson while Flair was on his way to the very top of NWA to the golden years in the mid-80s to the sore times during the 90s when the horsemen were more of a punching bag and just had to bring everyone else over and unfitting wrestlers were put into the faction, disgracing the name "Four Horsemen".
The promos of the good days were legendary for a good reason since all four of the original Horsemen were not only great between the ropes but could talk on the mic.
Sad enough that Ole Anderson refused to take part in the production of this DVD and showing his view, Arn Anderson most of the time talks on gimmick, while everyones else does not it seems a little out of place.
The collection of matches ca not keep um with the documentation. Although there were some good matches there a only very few big matches. There are no tag team matches with Arn and Ole holding the NWA National Tag Team Titles which is really a loss, since they where considered one of the best teams ever and there are no matches with Arn and Tully holding the NWA World Tag Team Titles the Horsemen are actually winning. I am also missing the first war games matches against the Road Warrios and Dusty.
Still, the documentation alone makes this package a must have for every oldschool wrestling fan as long as he is not too focused on McMahon-country.
Before the nWo, before D-Generation X, before Evolution, there was the Four Horsemen. The most influential stable of wrestlers, perhaps in history, deserve a WWE Home Video profile, despite, ironically, having never been together in the WWE. The Horsemen ran roughshod over the National Wrestling Alliance and WCW for almost 15 years, and one thing was always a constant in the Horsemen, it's suave and sophisticated leader, the 16-time Heavyweight Champion of the World, Ric Flair.
Ric Flair and The Four Horsemen charts the origins of the Horsemen's inception in the mid-1980s, when Flair, Ole and Arn Anderson, and Tully Blanchard began to interfere for each other in matches, overseen by the intelligent managership of James J. Dillon. Members came and went (Flair's personal favourite Horsemen combination was him, Arn, Tully and Barry Windham) over the years, and nearly all the main players of the Horsemen, with the exception of Ole Anderson, talk honestly and openly about what it was like to be in pro-wrestlings elite faction.
This is a fascinating documentary with only a couple of minor bugbears. Arn Anderson's interviews are stuck in a kayfabe-era timewarp; he talks about breaking Dusty Rhodes' ankle like it really happened. Plus, most of the 1990s years, where the Horsemen head office perhaps should have had a revolving door for members fitted, is rushed through without any proper analysis. But this remains a terrific purchase for fans of The Nature Boy, classic wrestling action, and those of you keen to learn more about non-WWE wrestling history.
