This was a well deserved release for one of the most underrated athletes in wrestling today and although it's not perfect, it is a very good 3 disc set. This is a redux review, as it would take ages to fully analyse all the matches

1. Special Challenge - Survivor Series 1997
Mankind vs Kane
4/5 A great brawl and perfect PPV debut (match) for Kane, the red lighting marrs it a little though.

2. Undertake vs Kane - Wrestlemania 14
5/5 A true classic and possibly their best encounter with standout spots aplenty and Kane at his best.

3. Inferno Match - Unforgiven 1998
Undertaker vs Kane
5/5 A perfect sequel in their now classic rivalry and a truely great match type, with both men delivering a memorable contest.

4. WWE Championship First Blood Match - King Of The Ring 1998
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Kane
5/5 One heck of a brawl that has brutal moments , interfearence and innovative uses of the hell in a cell structure. This also marks Kane's only time as WWE Champion, so it is an extremely memorable contest.

5. WWE Tag Team Championship
Kane and X-Pac vs Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett
3/5 Not a bad little match but Kane is not involved for much of the match and a better x-pac/kane tag match could have been chosen.

6. Steel Cage Match - Armageddon 1999
Kane vs X-Pac
4/5 A very good contest, the best of their rivalry, with inventive moments and a brilliant ending.

7. Last Man Standing Match - Armageddon 2000
Kane vs Chris Jericho
3/5 A good match that was not quite as brutal and fast paced as expected but had a good ending, their match at survivor series 2000 was much better.

8. Triple Threat Tag Team Championship Match - No Way Out 2001
Edge and Christian vs The Dudley Boyz vs Undertaker and Kane
3/5 An entertaining contest dominated by taker and kane but there are better brothers of destruction pairings from 2001 that could have been used.

9. WWE Intercontinental Championship Chain Match - Judgment Day 2001
Triple H vs Kane
5/5 A brilliant and brutal contest, the two had great chemistry and the match had consistent highlights.

10. Kane vs Kurt Angle - Wrestlemania 18
4/5 One of Kane's best wrestling matches, he and kurt worked well together and the match was thouroughly entertaining.

11. Winner Takes All Championship Match - No Mercy 2002
Triple H vs Kane
4/5 A great main event hampered by a lousy feud, nonetheless this was a great main event that went back and forth.

12. RVD and Kane vs Chris Jericho and Christian
3/5 A fun contest which effectively showed off both teams but better RVD and Kane matches are available.

13. Steel Cage Match
RVD vs Kane
4/5 A stand out match in their mini- rivalry and this showcased unmasked kane very well.

14. Last Man Standing Match - Unforgiven 2003
Shane McMahon vs Kane
4/5 A spot filled and gripping contest that has a superb ending and some great use of weapons, despite the fact that it is hard to believe shane could ever win.

15. Ambulance Match - Survivor Series 2003
5/5 One of Unmasked Kane's matches that plays out as more of a hardcore match and outdoes their previous encounter.

16. Till Death Do Us Part Match - Summerslam 2004
3/5 Not a bad m,atch but the whole rivalry was quite sick as was the stipulation however with a fast pace and a brilliant ending this match pulls through.

17. No Disqualification Match - Unforgiven 2004
Shawn Michaels vs Kane
5/5 A really underused rivalry is evident here because Shawn and Kane have a superb contest and deliver some excellent moves and keep you entertained all the way through the match.

18. No Holds Barred match
Gene Snitsky vs Kane
3/5 A good match but their contest at New Years Revolution '05 but still a brutal little brawl only memorable for the fantastic conclusion.

19. Steel Cage Match
Kane vs Edge
3/5 A bloody cage match that goes back and forth but it is a tad unmemorable, perhaps their contest from Vengeance 2005 should have been used instead.

20. Stretcher Match
Kane vs Edge
4/5 The match is fast and furious and has some great moments but nothing beats the quite shocking ending and aftermath.

21. Kane vs Umaga
2/5 Taken as a segment this is brilliant but as a match it is not a brilliant shopwing of their rivalry, Cyber Sunday '06's match would have been better.

22.Undertaker and Kane vs King Booker and Finlay
4/5 A superb tag team match, which allows both teams to get their shots in. A truely brilliant Smackdown main event.

23. Kane vs King Booker - No Way Out 2007
4/5 A good hard hitting wrestling match in which Kane is given a chance to shine and the match is great.

24. First Ever Belfast Brawl
Kane vs Finlay
3/5 Quite a brutal match that has its moments but nothing too special to be honest.

25. Champion vs Champion
Undertaker vs Kane
3/5 The match starts off very slowly but eventually heats up and starts getting entertaining but is suddenly stopped, however the aftermath is quite good.

Extra matches:
24 Man Battle Royal for #1 contenders shot at ECW Title later - Wrestlemania 24
3/5 Not brilliant but entertaining and Kane was the best man to win this match.

ECW Championship Match - Wrestlemania 24
Chavo Gurrero vs Kane
1/5 In terms of wrestling theres nothing to review the match is 9 seconds long but in terms of giving Kane a title belt top marks.

So in summary this DVD set has classic matches on display but is set back a little by some bizarre choices of matches, still a very worthwhile set for a brilliant superstar.

If your a fan of the old masked Kane then get this set as it helps us remember what a great star Kane used to be and how he has fallen to the low unmasked status he is now.

The first disk is packed with his best matches from the attitude era with him intrducing them in strange ways which is a great watch for any wrestling fan. Then you begin to see how kane is losing his stardom and importance in the WWE in the second and third disks.

Stand out matches:

Kane vs. Mankind - Survivor Series 97 - 8/10

Kane vs. Undertaker - Wrestlemania 14 - 10/10

Kane vs. Undertaker - Unforgiven 98 - 10/10

Kane vs. Stone Cold - King of the Ring 98 - 10/10

Kane vs. X-Pac - Armageddon 99 - 9/10

Kane vs. Chris Jericho - Armageddon 00 - 9/10

Kane vs. Triple H - Judgement Day 01 - 9/10

Kane vs. Triple H - No Mercy 02 - 8/10

Kane vs. Shane McMahon - Unforgiven 03 - 9/10

Kane vs. Shane McMahon - Survivor Series 03 - 10/10

Kane vs. Shawn Michaels - Unforgiven 04 - 9/10

Some great matches but some bad ones too, which makes this DVD set a 4 out of 5 stars

i got this Kane dvd from the sale here a few weeks ago and i wasnt dissapointed. This 3 disc set is your usual selection of matches like in previous 3 disc sets but in this set Kane himself introduces us to each match and moment of his career. He remembers fondly of the terror he induced upon his victims and this set shows his career from the beginning up until 2008!

Kane isnt the best technical wrestler in the WWE but that doesnt affect the entertainment value in this set at all. Some of the moments are the most memorable in history with J.R being set alight and poor Shane O' Mac being sent to hell. His encounters with his brither The Undertaker are here with the exception of Summerslam 2000 which isnt a great loss in honesty. We see Kane transform into a real monster with his unmasking in June 2003 and we also see some of his more humurous moments. Like his hilarious impression of The Hulkster and his first words 'Suck It'!
This DVD is essential for any Kane fan and a great addition to any fan of WWE!

Having waited about five years to see some kind of compilation dedicated to Kane, I was eagerly awaiting this DVD and the set does not diappoint in the regards that it does have some decent content, introduced by Kane himself, and is very well presented.

Unfortunately, it does gloss over, skip past and miss out quite a few matches and events from Kane's career but, overall, this is probably the best that the big man is going to get so, if you're a Kane fan, it's pretty much a must.

I realize I have already done a short review, but having watched this DVD from start to end several times now, I thought I would comment further on the actual content. The set is laid out in the standard WWE way, with each match featuring an introduction from the Big Red Machine himself. Having Kane introduce the matches himself, even in kayfabe, is a definite plus, but his constant talk of pain and fire does grate after a while. Picture quality and sound are both excellent, so onto matches.

The opener is Kane's first PPV match against Mankind at SS97. Its a fair encounter, largely for Mick's incredible ability to take a beating. The two matches against the Undertaker are definitely not as good as I remember, but are still worth watching as decent big man matches, both of which pick up towards the end. His WWE title win over Stone Cold is an entertaining brawl. His tag match with X-Pac against Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart is unexceptional, but the cage match that follows is good viewing, with an amusing ending. The Last Man Standing match against Chris Jericho is disappointing, but Disc 1 closes out with the Triple Threat Tables Match from No Way Out 2001, which is great fun to watch.

Disc 2 kicks off with a highly enjoyable chain match against Triple H. The WrestleMania X8 encounter against Kurt Angle is surprisingly lacklustre, but another match against Triple H at No Mercy 2002 is entertaining, if not as good as the earlier Triple H encounter. An OK tag match with RVD against Jericho and Christian sets up the newly unmasked Kane's cage match against Rob - its a cracker, with Van Dam taking a beating. The two offerings against Shane McMahon are surprisingly some of the best on the set. Playing to both men's strengths, they feature weapons shots, sick bumps and plenty of action, and are compelling viewing. The disc closes out with a match against Matt Hardy. Part of the Lita angle, this is a well-worked, good encounter, especially considering the size difference.

A very good match considering the size difference opens disc 3, against Shawn Michaels. This is followed by a terrible match against Snitsky, the only interesting bit of which is the finish. A cage match against Edge is an exciting match, with the Stretcher follow up another gripping encounter with violence all the way. A match against Umaga feels like filler save for some really nasty chair shots. The tag match with the Undertaker against King Booker and Finlay is decent. A follow-up match with King Booker is alright but the Belfast Brawl against Finlay is action packed and never boring. Appropriately the last match is against the Undertaker, but it sadly never leaves second gear before interference from Edge and Chavo Guerrero.

Aside from some interesting promos, the best of which follows Pete Rose being repeatedly beaten up by Kane at various WrestleManias, the only bonus matches are the poor battle royal from WrestleMania 24 and the hilarious ECW title match in which Kane crushes Chavo in 8 seconds,

So, given that Kane was never a great technical wrestler to begin with, this set nonetheless is a good reminder that Kane was one of wrestling's most talented big men, and a brilliant monster heel. While the quality tails off towards the end, there are enough good to great matches that if you're a Kane fan or just want to reminisce on how much cooler he was with the mask, this is an essential purchase.

All I can say to the release of this set is: about time. A veteran of more than a decade, and the recipient of some of the worst storylines in the WWE (Katie Vick, Lita, fake Kane), few deserve it more than Kane. And while Kane isnt renowned as a technical wrestler, WWE have done a good job assembling this set. There are worthwhile matches with Undertaker, Triple H, RVD, Shawn Michaels, Edge and most surprisingly, Shane McMahon on this set. If you're a fan of Kane its a worthwhile investment.

Finally a Kane DVD, he has been a great star in the WWE and has been deserving of his own dvd for many years. This seems like a great set although a few matches are missing which is a shame, but as kane throughout the DVD dose his own commentary that certainly makes up. Hes been a great preformer since his debut making an impact in the first ever hell in a cell, and although his presence is clearly not felt as much at the moment as it once did, this set certainly takes you back to the glory days with great matches and rivilries that are sure to keep u entertained, such as the first ever inferno match and the first blood against stone cold, plus much more. This DVD is worthy for any collector and will definatley be a pre-oder for me.

A well deserved 3 dvd set for Kane fans!Perhaps the most agile big man in wwe history ,the other being The Undertaker!Kane has been one of the most popular(and i feel underrated) superstars of the last 11 years!Almost complete set that lacks a few matches, like for instance the tlc tag match that he won by is own on raw around October 2002 i guess, and several others, but still a great set that deserves to be in any collection!

Although Kane's best run during the company was argubly from 1997 - 2001, you cannot deny that Glen Jacobs has potrayed the Kane character well. After rubbish runs as Issac Yenkham and The Fake Diesel, Jacobs finally found his spot when he played the Undertaker's long lost half brother.

Kane will go down as one of the most popular superstars ever and as this DVD illustrates it doesn't take a genius to work out that Kane has had some terrific battles with the likes of The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, X-Pac and others.

Highly recommended.
