I seen a couple of bad reviews for this dvd and actually felt so bad i thought id write my first ever review..

I found the picture quality to be just as good as any other tagged classic..sure its not HD but we hafta remember this was like the 3rd wwf out on dvd its that old.

The card top to bottom is a mixed bag, just like any other wrestlemanias really, but it features some brilliant matches and in my opinion one of the very best main events from 2000-2010 wrestlemania wise.

I never saw this ppv live and actually only watched it properly maybe 2 or 3 years ago and didnt know the outcome and i was properly shocked..so if you havent saw this its a must buy

I'm gonna say this is one of the best ppv's of 2000 and defiently one of the top five between 2000-2010

Firstly the picture quality in places has been mentioned by other reviewers. It is a shame for an event only 11 years old that quality issues make this release suffer a little. the other issue raised is, how can an event, previously released on DVD suffer quality issues.

The event was huge. some wrestlers had new attire for the occasion, such as too cool.

First match was -
Godfather & D-Lo Brown vs. Big Boss Man & Bull Buchanan

This was a great opener for the event. WWE had alot of 'contender' quality tag teams. Buchanan was fiarly new and was assigned alongside Boss man. great beginning to the event.

Next up was the Hardcore Battle Royal for the Hardcore Championship, featuring
Crash Holly, Tazz, Viscera, Pete Gas, Rodney, Joey Abs, Hardcore Holly, Taka Michinoku, Funaki, Mosh, Thrasher, Faarooq & Bradshaw

This was a 15 minute anything goes match which incurred some carnage, numerous title changes and a great finish!

Al Snow & Steve Blackman vs. Test & Albert - Headcheese, if you remember this, Al snow and steve blackman were an unlikely team and remained together for a while. Test and Albert were another tag team, that never reached the gold. with their size and power they have the obvious advantage. a good filler to the card!

Triangle Ladder Match for the World Tag Team Championship
Dudley Boyz vs. Edge & Christian vs. Hardy Boyz

This was a career shortening match for all participants - a fantastic and gripping 20+ minute match. This was the first in the series of matches the three teams had!

Cat Fight
Terri (w/ Fabulous Moolah) vs. The Kat (w/ Mae Young) -quite a comedy match, with Mae and Moolah on the outside

Two Fall Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental & European Championship
Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit

Angle was encouraged to defend both belts by inspired bob backlund. This help set up the Jericho/Benoit fued and a good quality wrestling match

Mixed Tag Team Match
Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn & Dean Malenko vs. Chyna & Too Cool - continuing from No way out, too cools rivalry begun when the radicals joined wwe. Great match with some high flying and technical wrestling.

X-Pac & Road Dogg vs. Rikishi & Kane - another tag team match which didnt last long, as on paper the match was one sided

Finally:

Fatal Four-Way Elimination Match for the WWE Championship
Triple H vs. Mick Foley vs. Big Show vs. The Rock

With a Mcmahon in each corner, two heels and two faces; A lengthy gap between the first pinfall and the second with a finish of some controversy!

The card itself was the last time a Wrestlemania would be held in a standard size arena. The era of 2000 was an exciting time in WWE, If you havent seen the event, you should!

this event is really good but it's just a shame the picture quality at times is terrible its on par with capital carnage which was pretty bad in of its self, i only bought this dvd for 6 pounds at cex and although the picture quality is bad for that amount of money its okay. if the picture quality of this event
is bothering anyone i suggest that you get the original dvd release which i already am doing, i used to have it back in the day and the picture quality is really good but in the end if the picture doesnt matter to you than this set is worth the money.

a very good event but it seems this is the last mania that was in small arena as the next year and onwards where in 50 thousand attendees.
the main event, ladder match and the the triple threat match are the highlight as is the comedy hardcore match.

one thing to say about this release - the video quality is really, really poor! the caption at the start of the disc says due to being archived footage, some of the picture quality is poor but it shouldn't disturb your viewing pleasure. but i must say it kinda does. if anyone taped this event off sky sports 1 onto a vhs, it's like watching that! video quality is like vhs quality... not good at all! this event should be sold for 8.99 always, not just a sale price!
overall package 9/10

One of the most disapointing Wrestlemania's in recent memory!
WWE in 2000 was one of the hottest years in the history of the company. Stellar ppvs such as royal rumble, no way out, backlash, fully loaded, summerslam and judgment day led people to believe this ppv will be up their with the best. Sadly this was not the case. For all of WWEs great bookings in that year, they dropped the ball on this event. While it wasnt trash, for a WM you would expect so much more. Even so, 3 fantastic matches saved this show greatly.

Fatal Four-Way Elimination Match for the WWE Championship
Triple H vs. Mick Foley vs. Big Show vs. The Rock- This was it, THE main event. This was hyped like no other, and most of us believed this would be fantastic. It was months worth of build, with the Rock getting screwed both at the Rumble and No Way Out by Show and Shane, while Foley returned after being retired by the Game at No Way Out for one last match. The main focus of the build was that there was a McMahon in every corner: Shane for Big Show, Vince for the Rock, Stephanie for HHH and Linda for Foley. The stage was set and this match was given a hell of alot of time, as its the second longest match in WM history, clocking in at 36minutes,and after second viewing, it is much better than i remembered and dare i say underrated, and even for such a long match didnt have any significant slowdown. The action was great, it flowed well, the crowd were into anything the Rock did and the McMahons added to the unpredictability. The story was good(even though it was stupid that Foley returned not too long after losing a retirement match) but the match more than made up for the dodgy booking. The section with Big Show was very good, but once he got eliminated, the match went hot and cold from their. Some moments were botched( Foley not connecting with his elbow drop on the announcers table) and the fans wernt really into it as i said apart from portions the Rock dominated. However it was a great match, and the Rock/Triple H battle was great. And the ending was SHOCKING to say the least. Vince turned on the Rock, and Triple H became the FIRST heel to EVERY retain the title at a WM main event. I love the moment after the match when to Rock attacked Shane, Vince and HHH, and hit Stephanie with the Rock bottom and the People's Elbow! When you watch it in a nutshell its a great match, but when you go into it with expectations and getting into the hype, you'll end up being disapointed as I first was-8.5/10

X-Pac & Road Dogg vs. Rikishi & Kane- Once again, solid yet unspectacular. The memorable moment was Pete Rose AGAIN appearing at WM, and once again getting chokeslammed by Kane. But in addition, he recieved a WM style stink face! These 4 men are good at drawing the crowd into their matches, yet they didnt tonight, and for that they can be disapointed-6/10

Mixed Tag Team Match
Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn & Dean Malenko vs. Chyna & Too Cool- One of the more positive matches of the event. They delieved a fun match, but what seems to be the story of the event, it was unspectacular. The work of Chyna and Eddie particularly impressed me, as Chyna held her own among 5 other talented athletes. Good match, with a rather shocking winner, or maybe thats just me lol-7/10

Two Fall Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental & European Championship
Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit- WOW this was good, the reviews were positive, but i didnt expect a match this good! Wonderful triple threat, whats even more impressive is the fact that this could of been MUCH better as it looked like they were holding back. Great one on one wrestling from each 3 men, hitting all they signature moves and pulling me in. What hurts this match were the rather unspectacular falls which prevented this match from reaching a higher rating. Needless to say, they achieved their goal, putting on a true wrestling match that almost stole the show. It is memorable as Kurt Angle, the wrestler of the decade in my opinion, lost BOTH his titles in the match, WITHOUT GETTING PINNED! great booking-9/10

Cat Fight
Terri (w/ Fabulous Moolah) vs. The Kat (w/ Mae Young)- How many wrestlemanias will i review that has atleast 1 trashtastic match. Poor and boring in everyway, even the eye candy couldnt help this one-2/10

Triangle Ladder Match for the World Tag Team Championship
Dudley Boyz vs. Edge & Christian vs. Hardy Boyz- This, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the greatest WM matches you will ever see in the past decade! You talk about raising the bar, Shawn and Ramon might have invented the Ladder match, but these guys took it to a COMPLETELY different level, one that was the basework for spectacular ladder matches you see now. These teams had put on some amazing matches over the months:Hardys vs E&C at no mercy and no way out were fantastic and the tables match between the Dudleys and the Hardys at the rumble was truly epic. But somehow, someway, these guys topped themselves again(they would go on to top themselves AGAIN finally at summerslam), this match was a spotfest galore. But unlike the Mania match the next year, this felt organic, it felt real, they actually wanted to win, not just try and out do previous spots. I loved this match, very close to a 5stars, with some of the most unforgettable spots you will ever see, none more spectacular than Jeff hitting the swanton bomb on Bubba on the outside on one hell of a HUGE ladder. One of my favourite spots ever! Theres just too many to name literally, i was in awe, i was saying OMG every 10seconds! Just watch this, and compare it to TLCII and you'll see why i say this match is better in everyway, and is in my opinion one of the top 3 ladder matches in the companies history. I applaud these guys for their spectacular and unforgettable effort to steal the show at WM2000, which i believe they did-9.5/10

Al Snow & Steve Blackman vs. Test & Albert- Not the dud that everyone says it is. Yes it had no real structure or heat, but there was some good moments and tag team moves, making this a solid if unspectacular tag team match. The stupidness after the match is what really hurts this, it was trash!-6/10

Hardcore Battle Royal for the Hardcore Championship, featuring
Crash Holly, Tazz, Viscera, Pete Gas, Rodney, Joey Abs, Hardcore Holly, Taka Michinoku, Funaki, Mosh, Thrasher, Faarooq & Bradshaw- I was looking forward to seeing this. Yes it had a mixed reaction, some said it was good, some said it was boring, but i thought i would be leaning to the good side. It started off good, but it only degraded from then on into a rather tedious and boring encounter which did have its fun spots, but couldnt hold my atention for long. Another disapointing match-6/10

Godfather & D-Lo Brown vs. Big Boss Man & Bull Buchanan- Not the best choice as an opener, nonetheless it wasnt really bad, it was acceptable match which shockingly kept me interested. These guys can be proud they didnt really stink the house down like i expected, but they didnt really do nothing spectacular either-6/10

This would of been a great event if it was called anything other than WM. WM has a different standard from other events, as fans we expect it to be an event that annually seperates it from others. They achieved that this year, but not the way they wanted. Instead of being an epic event, it was a dispointing event that seperated it from the many fantastic events that same year. However there was one standout, the triple threat ladder match, which will go down as one of the great Mania matches of all time, with the single most epic moment of the whole event. The DVD was GREAT with an excellent second disc for the time with 10minute highlights for all the previous 15 WMs. Get this if, like me, you collect WMs regardless of how good, but if your looking for a great event from the year not even the decade, theres PLENTY MORE better out their.

This is a historic Wrestlemania were a heel went over for the title for the first time, the title match was good even with Foleys botch in the middle overall a good match.

The ladder match stole the show in the end after Jeff Hardy made history and set the benchmark for all high risk moves in wrestling today.

They really sent out all the youth in this Wrestlemania which made it better.

This is a must buy for any wrestling fan.

superb event with 3 super strong matches, namely the 2 fall triple threat match, the triangle ladder match & the fatal 4 way main event. the undercard is solid too, with the hardcore battle royal being my personal highlight of it. a superb ppv that thrives in spite of of the fact that wwe was missing undertaker & austin at the time.

The turn of the Millennuim did WWE justice. Just off from a decent Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania 2000 actually delivered a great PPV. The storylines were played out excellently and the pre match promo's were a great lead up to the matches itself.

The Key Matches to look out for are

Triangle Ladder Match for WWE World Tag- Team Titles

2 out of 3 Falls Match for WWE Intercontinental and European Championship

Fatal Four Way Elimination for the WWE Championship

The other matches are quite "Gimmicky" but enjoyable none the less- I especailly enjoyed the Mixed Tag Team Match featuring CHYNA, I just think she was a great competitor and deserved a hell of a lot more than she got.

I'm giving it 4 stars as on its own it stands the test of time but putting next to Wrestlemania X-7, loses it a star because WM17 was in my mind the best PPV WWE has ever produced.

Really fun action packed pay-per-view,very nostalgic. Not the best WrestleMania compared to the likes of 17,19 etc. with some less than great matches but the ladder match, 4-way main event and innovative triple threat are all excellent matches as well as the hardcore battle royal.

An event known for having no traditional one on one matches, its a cool event to add to your collection.

(The set also includes a quite comprehensive look at WrestleManias 1-15. Nice)

Whilst this DVD set is good, and offers a great deal on an old school pay per view event, the show itself is rather hit and miss.

The main event of the show, featuring all of the McMahon family alongside their chosen wrestler does not live up to the hype that can usually be associated with a WrestleMania main event. The match seemed to drag on and on (eventually ending after around 35 minutes) and it seemed a little pointless having Foley featured in the match after "retiring" just a month previous.

The match that saves this event somewhat is the ladder match between Edge/Christian, the Hardyz and the Dudleyz. Jeff Hardy does an insane moonsault off of a huge ladder onto Bubba Ray Dudley who is lying on a table!

Another match worth mentioning is the triple threat match for both the Intercontinental and European titles, featuring Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho. Some truely fantastic technical wrestling in this one.

The other matches are pretty much duds, and not really worth mentioning. The majority of them are matches I would not expect to see on a WrestleMania. (The match before the main event was Road Dogg and X-Pac Vs Kane and Rikishi!?!?)

Luckily for WWE, this PPV is made bearable thanks to the Ladder Match and the European/Intercontinental Title matches. The DVD gets 3 stars thanks to these matches and the additional disc that comes with it, that is rather entertaining and the extras are fairly extensive for a WWE release.

Relatively good event overall. Not the best Mania but a few good matches save it from being a poor event, The two title triple threat is a very good match with 3 of the best in WWE history, the triangle ladder match is exceptional just as most of the ladder matches featuring the hardyz, dudleys and edge and christian and also the main event fatal 4 way elimination match which incedently was mick foleys supposed last match is a good offering for a wwe title match but is no way near the best mania main event. Overall the DVD is worth buying for the triple threat and ladder matches plus the history of wrestlemania extra disc even if the rest of the matches on the card arnt anything special,
