Most of the fights on this disc are very good. Some are great even if they are over quickly and are worth watching again and again.
Marvin Eastman demonstrates his improved striking against Terry Martin. This fight goes the distance and is a fight I have watched many times. Tim Boetsch makes a very impressive debut against David Heath. Now I know what the phrase "dump him on his head" means. Chris Lytle displays his striking power against Kyle Bradley while Tyson Griffin and Gleison Tibau give us a great fight that goes the distance. Ricardo Almeida makes a long awaited return to the Octagon against a very confident Rob Yundt. Almeida's Jiu-Jitsu shines through and the fight is over quickly. Brock Lesnar makes his UFC debut against former champion Frank Mir. Both fighters show their humourous sides when they say what they want to do to each other before the fight. Lesnar uses his size and power to easily take Mir to the ground and this is probably the highlight on the disc - it is a real battle of brains vs brawn. Tim Sylvia aims to be only the second man to be a three-time heavyweight champion in his fight against Antonio Nogueira. Nogueira aims to be the first man to hold both a Pride and UFC belt. In the fight he demonstrates his legendary resilience against the heavy handed Sylvia.
The bonus features Lesnar, Mir and Sylvia, Nogueira talking about their fights and a look at the upcoming UFC 2009 videogame. I have a large collection of UFC dvds and this is up there with the very best. It is highly recommended.
