Armageddon 2002 was great
Triple H vs. HBK 4/5
The only downfall was HBK losing the World Heavyweight title; he only held it for a month.
Good PPV.
Armageddon 2002 caps off what was a great year for the WWE. Thankfully, the event is great and the matches make the event one of the best of the year.
The event starts off with a great four team tag match, it is a great opener, a bit long, but it is an enjoyable match, the teams involved are also pretty good, it doesn't feel like they added some teams at the last minute, the teams all mould together.
The Kane vs Batista match, and the Edge vs A-train match are skippable, they are worth a watch but they aren't the greatest, certainly not the worst.
The Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie segment is... well, lets just say that several things that happen during this segment you wouldn't see the Divas of current WWE programming do.
The Triple threat Divas match is an above average divas match, not as good as the Survivor Series match, even with the added oppenent. The ending comes quite quickly, and the match is rather short.
The Kurt angle vs The Big show match is really entertaining, not the best match of the night, but worth a watch, it is one of those big show matches where they overstate his immense power and stuff, commentary gets annoying after a while, but the match should distract you. There is also this one bit where Kurt Angle lands right on Paul Heymans Head, and it looks quite painfull.
Chris Benoit vs Eddie Guerrero is nearly the best match of the night, the match on card looks good alone and it doesn't dissappoint, if they were given a grander stage or more time they could probably have a even better match, great match.
And of cousre the Main Event, the two out of three falls match. This is quite a famous match, it starts off slow but when it kicks in the match is very, very good. Great spots in the match such as flaming 2x4s and tables, chairs, trashcans.... Thankfully the match is about 40 minutes, so has plenty of time to let the match go.
As for the Extras on the DVD, the interviews are worth a watch, but aren't too great, but the best thing about them is the brilliant fatal four way match that was on smackdown, it is a great match and makes the dvd worth the purchase even more.
Overall, this event, like many in 2002, is very good, this definatley worth a buy, if not for the main event alone, worth it, go buy it!
