CUSTOMER REVIEWS
On the whole, a very strong PPV event that continued the trend from much of 2007 and sent WWE on a good start to '08. HBK vs Mr. Kennedy is a great one-on-one bout, Michaels is superb throughout and Kennedy shows his worth as well. The working off of each other having an injured body part was nice, making you really wonder which one was going to falter first.
Jeff Hardy vs Triple H may very well be the show stealer of this one, a well-crafted match with great storytelling and some nice spots. The manner in which the match was won was what it needed to be and nothing more or less, a great face vs face matchup. The Jericho return was mired obviously by JBL's kick to the head at the end but otherwise a very strong match against Orton, who I have believed for years has all the tools and knows how to work well with them. Some nice back and forth stuff going on in the match with a fair amount of believability that Jericho could win the title before the giant JBL swerve.
The triple threat match was an ok affair, it established Edge as the premier bad guy on SmackDown! furthermore than WWE had already done, as well as introducing the La Familia/Edgeheads element into it. His crafty victory did it's job if it was meant to inspire heat from the audience, but it wasn't a fantastic match. Props to Undertaker, who once again, pulled a great performance out. With the odd OK match, most on this DVD are very strong and well worth the purchase.
Match of the card had to be the triple threat World title match
I wanted Taker to win but what a way for the Rated R Era to return!

Following a good Survivor Series, Armageddon was the event that brought closure to 2007, and it wasn't dissapointing.
The main event triple thret match for the WHC was a nice way to close the show, however it's ending took away from who really deserved to win. Undertaker and Batista both put on good showings, but it was Edge and company who changed their plans, and in a cleaver stunt, recaptured the title.
The WWE title match saw Y2J try to end Orton's reign as champion. But an interfering JBL had other ideas, bringing Jericho's impressive efforts to a stop. This took away from what was a good match, that deserved a better ending.
The match of the night went to Triple H and Jeff Hardy. A great match to determin the #1 contender, filled with counters, exchanges and a suprise finish. Very entertaining.
The rest of the card was worth a watch. MVP vs Mysterio for the U.S title was good, as was HBK vs Mr. Kennedy.
Overall, a good 3 star show to close the year.
Had the championship matches been given better endings, I would have probably added another star, as the matches themselves were very good. Well worth a watch.
