CUSTOMER REVIEWS
The thing with Bragging Rights is, that the concept of RAW vs Smackdown could do with a little more work, because fans aren't really going to back a side, but this PPV was a lot of fun, and had some quality matches on the undercard (especially the Fatal-4-Way WHC Match, and the 7-on-7 Bragging Rights Tag team Match), as well as Dave Batista's turn on Rey; to back up a very impressive Ironman Main Event. 4 Stars, definitely a recommended buy.

recently watched the DVD for Bragging Rights 2009. This show featured the SmackDown and RAW rosters in a best-of-3 series for Bragging Rights as well as a 1-hour Anything Goes Iron Man Match to finally bring an end to the feud between John Cena and Randy Orton. The show also featured a long-time friendship disintegrate as Rey Mysterio and Batista had a post-match altercation following the World Heavyweight Championship Fatal Four Way match they were involved in.
What I Said Then: I really enjoyed the Iron Man match which was the focal point of this event. It was the best of the 12 PPV matches Cena and Orton have had against each other. As far as the SmackDown vs. RAW feud for Bragging Rights, it just came across as cheesy and the 14-man tag team match felt like a hokey main event you might see on a free televised show. Overall, I'll give this a thumb's up as nothing was bad on the show and the Iron Man Match delivered.
Has My Opinion Changed? No. Watching the show again, I still really enjoyed the Iron Man match. It featured great action, tons of psychology, the start of a new feud for Randy, the controversial blood policy come into play, a double-pin, and a bizarre moment that reminded me of Wile E. Coyote trying to blow up the Road Runner. As far as the Bragging Rights portion of the show, it was an interesting concept but had some horrible execution. However, if they tweak the concept a bit, this has the potential to be one of the more popular PPV events of the year.
Overall Recommendation: I know that a lot of people were very sick of the Orton-Cena feud a this point and might have passed on this event because they had already seen the match so many times. If you're one of those, I recommend checking this show out as this was by far the best match of the feud. However, with the exception of the post-match incident following the World Heavyweight Championship match, the rest of the show was missable. The main event made this show at-least Netflix worthy and the fact that it was a 1-hour Iron Man Match might keep it off further DVD releases and that might be a very good reason to buy this DVD.
