this wasnt as good as the previous year, but that does mean it was that bad.a very entertaining criuserweight bout between paul london and chavo guerrero, john cena v jbl i quit match was ok but eddie guerrero v rey mysterio is best match of the night.the us title match between orlando and heidenreich should have been better, as should have carlito v big show.overall this dvd is still worth the money with all the extras making up for the ppvs bad points.i wish the dvds out now would still have lots of extras like this.
best match: rey mysterio v eddie guerrero
worst match: carlito v big show
overall rating:7/10 (make it a 8 if you include the extras)

As PPV events go, Judgment Day 2005 is not all that bad. Certainly, the wealth of extras make up for any deficiencies that the main show may have. John Cena's music video is actually pretty catchy and the making of, while no means essential, is fun viewing. The Carlito & Matt Morgan interview after their match is perversely amusing, even if it really shouldn't be. As for the main show itself: MNM vs. Holly & Haas is fine; Carlito vs. Show is nothing special, but it is pretty short; London vs. Guerrero is decent enough for the time allowed; Angle vs. Booker is good, but not great; Jordan vs. Heidenreich is probably best avoided; Mysterio vs. Guerrero is nowhere near their best ever match, but it's still watchable enough; and finally, Cena vs. JBL is an absolute revelation! Far better than it has any right to be, the I Quit match is a highly entertaining brawl and, arguably, one of Cena's best matches ever (JBL's too, for that matter). Overall, this is well worth seeing.
