CUSTOMER REVIEWS
This is an awesome event. I got it for Christmas and it does not disappoint. Survivor Series 1999 is a good event that is most likely remembered for Stone Cold getting hit by a car. However this event is overshadowed by Survivor Series 2000. I was looking forward to watching this event as 2000 was the first PPV I ever saw so to look back and feel nostalgic was awesome. Austin/HHH was excellent and the finish had me wondering if HHH was alive after that fall! Overall this is an excellent Tagged Classics and if there's any Tagged Classics to get, this should be first (next to Royal Rumble 1999 and 2000).
Survivor Series is great for it's 8-man elmination tag team matches, they are very entertaining and unpredictable to watch. These two events were pretty average with some standout moments, but the DVD still gets a 5-star rating just for the excellent value for money.
Survivor Series 1999 is famous for Stone Cold Steve Austin getting run over by a mystery driver in the parking lot. That put him out for nearly a year and funnily enough the storyline concluded at the following Survivor Series 2000 which is also included here. It turned out that the driver was Rikishi was was helped by HHH. Stone Cold already punished Rikishi at No Mercy 2000 so when he found out HHH was also involved, he was next on Austin's list. Rikishi claimed that he drove over Austin to take him out of the game so that he and The Rock would get better opportunities (Rikishi and The Rock are both of samoan heritage and Rikishi felt that him and Rock were being held down below guys like Austin because of this). The Rock took exception to this nonsense and vowed to take revenge on Rikishi for disgracing their people with his actions. This was a great return for Stone Cold and the finish to his match with HHH was awesome!
There isn't much else on both cards to write home about, but the Intercontinental title match between Chyna and Jericho was surprisingly very good and the Survivor Series matches featuring the Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian were also very good. I would say though just to buy this for the main events of both events because they are definately worth watching.
