WrestleMania XXVII had pressure on its well defined shoulders to deliver the goods. Did it?

Well, yes and no, is my avoidant answer. The curtain jerker, which was actually Edge v ADR for the World Heavyweight belt, was lively enough, with an enthused crowd.

After that, Cody Rhodes and Rey-Rey put in a good effort, before the show slumped. Everything up until HHH v 'Taker was 'meh', mostly, with some entertaining moments interspersed. But, when The Game and The Deadman faced off, it was a match of the year candidate, and a war to remember.

After Snooki came, raided Vince McMahon's wallet and left, we had the long-awaited WWE Title bout between Miz and Cena (really only anticipated due to The Rock's inevitable involvment). A plodding affair, it ended just as it got going, and Rocky's interference was somewhat too predictable to save it. Still, you gotta love The Great One.

So, by no means the greatest 'Showcase of the Immortals' ever, but fun and entertaining nonetheless, and worth a purchase, particularly with the Blu-Ray extras.

Its a good release for the Undertaker and HHH match and is worth watching HBK's induction into the HOF.

It's worth for the Undertaker vs Triple H & Orton vs Punk, and of course, the Hall of Fame ceremony!
