One of the more interesting Tagged Classics - interesting, in the sense of putting a PPV event with a 'Superstar' Special. This is a format I could really get behind, but is the experiment successful this time 'round?

Not entirely. The first event, the Wrestlemania XV card, is okay. It's not the best Wrestlemania. If anything, many may remember it fondly because it was bang smack in the middle of the infamous Attitude era, but putting something in the middle of the A.E. doesn't make it an instant classic. It's not to say it doesn't start well - Hardcore matches were brilliant around this time, and a triple threat one even more so. All three men lend a great match to us fans. The Tag Team match is solid if not spectacular. Maybe a little average for a Wrestlemania but they don't seem to get tag matches 'right' often at the 'Grandest Stage of Them All' so no surprises there.

I've said elsewhere I hate boxing events on WWE programming, and even less so with Bart Gunn instead of someone with the talents of Rowdy Piper or Big Show. It's really a waste of time on this disk. And nobody liked it at the time!

Big Show vs. Mankind is okay - the winner referees the main event between Rock / Austin. As Big Show was 'new' and his hatred of Austin crystal clear, he'd be a big factor. Similarly, Mankind hated the Rock who had only recently ousted the belt from Foley himself, but Mankind was no fan of Austin either.

The Fatal Four Way is surprisingly heat free and limp (and this is even though it includes my second favourite wrestler, Goldust!). The Women's Title match is also a waste of time; not surprising as already Sable's original WWE tenure was on its way to closure.

You've got a fairly meaty match with Kane / HHH and a really good one with X-Pac. The 'twist' of course is that this Wrestlemania causes the dissolution of HHH's Degeneration-X. The moment of the 'twist' is absolutely stupendous and changed HHH's career from memorable to meteoric. I also loved how they 'swerved' us all by having Chyna 'turn good-gal' again. Really good and the best bit of the event by far. Even if it was sad at the time (I was frothing at the mouth!).

Skip the Hell in a Cell. It's rubbish. It's only memorable because the Brood swoop down and 'hang' the Big Boss Man, and even that looks a little hammy and OTT. I did like the Brood swooping on the Hell, but the hanging moment was just too far. And basically because this is 'Taker and it's 'Mania, you know who wins already. :)

Which leaves us with Austin / Rock. Neither man will make my top ten wrestling talents of all time, both being better on the mic' than 'in the ring'. But here they are storming. I don't want anyone to go away thinking Rock / Austin ever had a bad match - they didn't; not over either the IC belt or the WWE Title. They don't here. This is arguably their 'biggest' match, with wrestling being amazingly hot at this point. When people say 'Rock/Austin', they mean this event really, and it shows.

More's the success of the disk that the extras are pretty good and really worth it. I think extras and Wrestlemania together boost the first disk to a four (a three for the PPV alone, because so much of the show is 'average'. That's no good for a 'Mania!). But then you've got the Hell Yeah disk.

It's done in a narrative style, pitching Austin on a car trip speaking sweet nothings into the camera. It's got a selection of his best moments and matches. The thing is, I already own these on various Raw DVD sets (and they're often repeated between them anyway!). So I get why they were on this disk first when originally released in 2000 but unfortunately, the release of this disk as a Tagged Classic is at the back end of severe overexposure of the events within (unless you don't own any 'Raw' sets - if you don't why don't you? :) ). If I was reviewing this disk in 2000, it'd get a three out of five. But I'm not. It's 2011, and it's a 'newer' release, and it's part of the Tagged Classic Collection. I can't give it more than a 'two star' as it's just aged well and I didn't particularly find it enlightening. Austin's 'frank talks' seemed a little boring to me, anyway. There just seem to be better Austin DVDs out there, as well as 'best of's' that cover more of Austins career than this flimsy one-disk selection.

Averaging out three stars, this DVD set isn't too bad. It's really Austin-centric for obvious reasons. The Wrestlemania compromise is all about his feud with Rock and Vince and Big Show and Mankind. It's all really classic. But if you're not much of a fan of Austin, then one of the disks here is useless and the main PPV might put you off a bit. Apart from the great DX matches and a decent Hardcore opener, there's nothimg else standout on the Wrestlemania disk. That's worth the entry ticket for most of us but it won't please all! There are better Tagged Classics. There are also far worse!

The set features two classic releases in Wrestlemania 15 and Steve Austin-Hell Yeah.
To put it simply, this is a must have set for any true wrestling fan, and also Steve Austin fan.
The reason for this is that it features a Special DVD that is fantastic and any Austin fan will love and that it features an event with one of his greatest matches of all time. With that being said I will now review Wrestlemania 15 and Hell Yeah...

Wrestlemania 15:
This wrestlemania has often been considered a black sheap of the wrestlemanias, and to put it simply-it's no wonder why, the show mostly features average at best matches, and quite simply it seamed just like an extra long episode of Raw, however there was still some good in this show, and the good has often found itself overlooked and underated.
With that being said I will give a full review for Wrestlemania 15.

Hardcore Championship, Triple Threat Match:
Billy Gunn VS Al Snow VS Hardcore Holly: 4.5/10
A fair match to open the show, some good weapn usage here and some entertaining moments, however nothing particulary special happened in this match and was a bit boring at time. OK but nothing special here.

World Tag Team Championship Match:
Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett VS D-Lo Brown & Test
Poor tag team match here that was clearly put together at the last minute, D-Lo Browns annoyence made this match even more unbearable. An annoying and pointless match.

Brawl for All Match:
Butterbean VS Bart Gunn: 1/10
Why this was even on the card is beyond me. We were first forced to watch through a ridiculously long promo/introductions (of people we didn't care about) and then were traeted to a match that was about a minute. It was simply terrible and had no place on this card (specially as its a wrestling event not a boxing one). Terrible.

Winner will be special guest referee for the main event:
Big Show VS Mankind: 4.5/10
An interesting stipulation couldent save this match from being boring, it wasn't terrible, there were some nice spots-and the post match Vince/Big Show segment was hilarious. But overall this match really draged.

Intercontinental Championship, Four Corners Elimination Match:
Road Dogg VS Val Venis VS Goldust VS Ken Shamrock: 5/10
Average match here, had some pritty decent wrestling from all four guys, but nothing particulary special, just standard stuff really.

Kane VS Triple H: 6/10
Solid match, saw some good back and forth action. Both guys worked very well together and gave an entertaining match overall. Also featured a brilliant pre match segment.

Women's Championship Match:
Sable VS Tori: 2/10
Horrible women's match, between to horrible 'wrestlers'. Actually quite an offensive match-not just for women, but for wrestling fans in general.

European Championship Match:
Shane McMahon VS X-Pac: 6/10
Another one of the few solid matches in the event. Both guys worked very well, and Shane as usual was hilarious here. Overall good match.

Hell in a Cell Match:
Undertaker VS The Big Boss Man: 5/10
Not the worst match ever, but for a hell in a cell match that features Undertaker, you'd expect a little bit more. This match was basicly a standard brawl between them, while it was fair and definetly featured some nice moments, it just wasn;'t enough. The cell was barly used and they simply didn't get enough time to wrestle. However the post match Boss Man hanging was very good and is easily one of those moments not to be forgotten. (Actually one of the highlights of this Wrestlemania).

WWF Championship, No DQ Match:
The Rock VS Stone Cold Steve Austin: 10/10
One of the graetest wrestling matches you will ever see. These guys came out there a wrestled an amazing match, this match is a classic and is pritty much the sole reason why you must see this wrestlemania. One of the graetest matches of all time and a pure classic. Must be watched.

Special Features: The special features are nothign hugly special however the alternative commentary tracks from Rock and Austin on there match were very interesting and definetly worth watching. Gives a unique look and something all wrestling fans should fine interesting.

Overall Wrestlemania 15 clearly wasn't great, however Stone Cold v Rock is such a great match, I would actually reccomend this event. Easily one of the greatest wrestlemania main events of all time.
6/10 (The reason it gets a higher than average score is mainly due to the Austin V Rock match)

Hell Yeah:
This is a very good DVD and is a must see for any Austin fan. The programme faetures interesting interview from Austin himself giving thoughts on some of his classic matches as well as other things. With this DVD we get the opportunity to relive some some great moments from Wrestlemania 14 to 15. Relive classic moments and also see some highlights of classic matches. A very well made documentary/promo that is very nostalgic, interesting and all round great fun to sit through.
The special features are also fantastic as we get to see some great moments.
ovevrall this is a very good DVD and is a must see for any Austin fan

So oevrall these two DVD's together are actually a very solid collection. Any Stone cold fan must watch both these programmes and Stone Cold V Rock is quite simply something every wrestling fan must own

8/10
